Another Try to Start My Journey

I had a blog a couple years ago in which I wrote about some things I came across as I was learning about web development. These things were subjects such as understanding css better, delving into the implementations of the projects I was working on, and even some musings about the “no code” movement. But, like a lot of people learning web development, I got frustrated with my progress and put it all to the side. I deleted accounts figuring I wouldn’t come back to any of it. And so, I deleted the blog posts I already had written as well as the blog itself.

In the past few months, I’ve gone back to working on the projects for my portfolio. After some time of refreshing on what I had learned and new trends and updates, I’m now starting to connect with people and put my work in writing and projects out there. Over the next several posts, I intend to write about the things I’ve been working on recently. The first blog I’ll write is about the DOM. I’ve been working on some code to encapsulate the functions and structure of a form. Just give the code a form and the elements and data from it are easier to work with. In the blog post, I’ll look into how it all works and give some example code.

I’m looking forward to building one or two big projects to showcase what I’ve learned. Over the many years of all the different languages and technology I’ve worked with, I’ve never made what could amount to a major project. I had manipulated the graphics or made something small on an old game system like the Atari. Some tools or graphics had been the extent of my experience in coding before the work done over the past couple years.

The frustrations felt while trying to figure some new problem seem more and more to yield so much more fulfillment than I have felt from anything else I’ve ever done. Every time I work on some new aspect of a project I look forward to that having that every day I’m working in, my soon to be, role as a developer.
